Bologna and Cabbage

Dutch oven cooking is as popular now as it was centuries ago and today’s cooks have discovered that this type of cookware is capable of producing an amazing array of delicious meals. We have collected many Dutch oven recipes over the years and we hope you will use them to create some great meals for your family and friends.

Cabbage, carrots and potatoes not only gives nutrients but also a complete flavor that you can’t resist. This simple one pot meal is definitely a must try every now and then; best served with your favorite crusty bread or hot rice.


1 lb Bologna
8 c Shredded cabbage
4 Potatoes cut into 1/2" slices
4 Carrots, sliced
1 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Pepper
2/3 c Beef bouillon


Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 45 minutes

Cooking Steps:

  • In a large Dutch oven combine together the bologna, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, bouillon then season with salt and pepper. Adjust according to your taste. 
  • Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Place the Dutch oven in the oven, uncovered and let it bakes for about 40 minutes or until the potatoes and carrots are tender.
  • Serve.
