Flavorful Italian Stew

Tasty chili-like stew with Italian sausage kick is one good dish that you can’t get over with. This is a
nice, simple and hearty meal even for a picky family. Every one will definitely enjoy this!
Ingredients:
1 pound bulk Italian sausage
1 (14.5 ounce) can Italian stewed tomatoes
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup, undiluted
2 medium carrots, sliced 1/8 inch thick
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 cups water
3/4 cup uncooked instant rice
Cooking Instructions:
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 40 minutes
Cooking Steps:
- Using a cast iron skillet cook the Italian sausage until no longer pink and
then drains.
- Add onion, celery, carrots, Italian seasoning, basil, salt and pepper. Let it
cook and stir over medium heat for about 5 minutes or until the veggies are
tender
- Add and stir in water, soup and tomatoes then bring into a
boil.
- Reduce the heat, cover and let it simmer for 30 minutes or until vegetables
are tender.
- Stir in the rice, cover and let it cook for about 10
minutes.
- Serve immediately.
