Scrumptious Beef and Bacon Chili
Dutch oven cooking is as popular now as it was centuries ago and today’s cooks have discovered that

Full and loaded with beef and bacon and as spicy as you like it! So simple and quick to prepare after a
long day; taste fantastic and delectable. You can even make this ahead of time. Flavors blend together quite nicely
as it ages.
Ingredients:
1/2 lb Sliced bacon, chopped
1 lb Lean ground beef
1 cup Picante sauce
1 1/2 cup coarsely chopped onion
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
28 oz Can, whole tomatoes
16 oz Can, pinto beans
1 teaspoon salt
Cooking Instructions:
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Cooking Steps:
- Using your Dutch oven cook the bacon over high-medium heat until crisp and brown. Place to a paper
towels to drain excess oil.
- With the same Dutch oven, reduce the oil and cook ground beef with onion and green pepper until the
meat cook through. Drain.
- Add all the remaining ingredients then bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 20
minutes.
- Plate into bowls and serve with additional Picante sauce.
